patenti_home Patents for inventions are protected by the Latvian Patent Law, effective since March 1, 2007. Full text of the law can be found at the Latvian Patent Office’s website.
An invention is protected by a patent in any branch of engineering if the invention is new, meets standards of an invention and is industrially applicable.
The object of an invention can be equipment, a method, a substance, a composition of substances, biological material.
An invention is protected by a patent.

In regard to patents we render the following services:
  • patent search for verification of novelty;
  • evaluation of technical solutions regarding patentability of the invention;
  • execution of patent application documents – compilation of description, claims and summary;
  • execution of licence contracts and assignment documents.
